I thought I had to pay for my membership. Is it really free? 
Yes, there is no longer a membership fee for Undergraduate Accounting, MSA, and MST students plus any other American University students interested in joining the club.


Are regular club meetings held throughout the semester? 
Most of our "club meetings" are held in the form of guest presentations, though we plan on holding meetings when possible to discuss upcoming events. However, as we have dozens of events we are hosting throughout the semester, we find that using our meeting time as an opportunity to invite a DC-area firm or Accounting professional to speak is an effective use of time.


How do I find out about upcoming events? 
Check our events page on a weekly basis and RSVP for events you plan on attending! 

I RSVPd for an event but cannot attend/ I did not RSVP for an event but would like to attend. 
We ask that you RSVP to most events in order to help us in preparing seating arrangements and purchasing food when applicable. If you RSVPd and can no longer attend an event, please let us know in a timely manner, if possible. If you did not RSVP but can attend an event at the last minute, feel free to still join us! If food is served at the event, just please be considerate in allowing those who RSVPd to eat first. 

Are there opportunities to meet fellow Accounting Club members at social events? 
Yes. Most events are followed by networking and provide members a solid opportunity to network with fellow students and recruiters. In addition, we hope to plan a number of informal "member only" events during the semester that will provide Accounting students with a solid opportunity to network, social, and have fun!

Who is the adviser for the Accounting Club?
Professor Emily L. Lindsay is the official adviser of the Kogod Accounting Club. 


How can I join the Accounting Club E-board?
Elections are held at the end of each Spring semester for the following academic year. Election information will be sent out towards the end of the Spring 2016 semester.
